Do you believe in randomness?

Written by Laure G.

For a long time, men have been trying to find out if what happens to them in life is due to chance or whether it is possible that what is called chance is something more subtle that one can learn to master.

 Personality affair.

In psychology, we try to understand what makes one personality go further than another, whether in the professional or emotional fields. Indeed, it seems that everything succeeds to some and that others do not really succeed in realizing their aspirations. In fact, it must be admitted that when it comes to success, the combination of one's own personality and the random factor must be taken into account.

Hasard provoked or fortuitous.

At the individual level, it is undeniable that the mere act of positive seems to attract success quite easily. We're not talking about lotto winnings or chance is really over the top. But we are talking about situations that seem to be timely and that make things seem easy provided that we have done the right thing for that. It must be admitted that a defeatist person will not have the same opportunities as a positive person and simply believing in what one is doing seems to have quite beneficial effects.

What about chance?

If we ask ourselves the question of chance, we must realize that pure chance exists and that in everyday life, working hard towards a goal and seizing opportunities when they arise, seems to be a matter of chance but we can say that it is a half chance, in the sense that we have nevertheless provoked the situation. For example, someone who is looking for a job with strength and is even willing to do what is out of their skills, will be able to find something. By doing so, certain opportunities may arise, simply because this person will meet other people and expand their knowledge network. Thus, the multiplication of situations that will at first have no relation, can be used by both depending on what everyone is looking for. Perhaps this is what differentiates optimists from pessimists. The latter will tend to retreat, whereas it is by opening up to the outside that chance can do things very well.
